Franz Ferdinand – The Human Fear

Listening to the album, it appears that the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand has again succeeded in releasing an album of sophisticated indie rock that encompasses the band’s characteristic style and a new personality. The songs are full-sounding and catchy in the way that is characteristic of Spyros and his songs address the mature themes and issues arising in the contemporary society in a personal manner. Songs such as; “The Dark Of The Matinee” as well as “Curious” perfectly exhibit the band’s capacity of recording danceable tunes with lyrically complex and deep meanings. There’s an element of ‘by any means’ in Kapranos and the band’s unashamed celebration of a ‘true self’ and if there is one thing that comes out of it, it is that the band is not afraid of offending anyone. The world’s fears can be summed up in this album title – “The Human Fear”: However, as a tribute to Mino’s strength and efforts, the said album is just as remarkable, inspiring, and innovative to date.
